Terms and Conditions
Vintage Cars South Africa (VCSA)
Quotes Validity and Estimates
All quotes are valid for 14 days and are estimates of the final amount payable to VCSA. The final amount will be determined and finalized upon issuing of the final invoice by the Company. All quotes/estimates are subject to the terms and conditions printed thereon.Sub-contracting/Outsourcing
VCSA reserves the right to sub-contract/outsource to other car carrier companies.Transport Method
Vehicles will be transported on an open car carrier, unless otherwise stated.Payments
Payments are strictly in advance. A minimum deposit of 50% must be paid soon after the quote is issued to ensure the vehicle is booked for the quoted departure date. Booking is subject to availability at the time of payment. Failure to pay the deposit may result in a first-come, first-served basis, and the collection/delivery date will not be guaranteed. The balance of the quote must be paid at least 48 hours prior to departure; otherwise, the vehicle will not be transported.Payment Method
All payments must be made in full, without deduction or set-off, and via electronic funds transfer into the account nominated on the quote. Proof of payment must be emailed to [email protected]. Payment is deemed received only once it reflects in the nominated account.Door-to-Door Service Limitations
Due to limitations of suburban roads, including narrow streets, sharp bends, steep hills, cul-de-sacs, townhouse complexes, and low trees, Door-to-Door services are not always possible. VCSA will arrange to meet at the nearest access point for collection/delivery.Collection/Delivery Times
Collection/delivery dates and times are estimates. Due to conditions beyond our control, such as traffic flow, road closures, adverse weather, impassable roads, or mechanical breakdowns, VCSA is entitled to delay the departure date/time and/or deviate from the planned route.Restricted Areas
Drivers are not authorized to enter airports, high-risk, or restricted areas.Cancellation Fees
All cancellations will carry a 10% administration fee on the quoted amount.Cancellation Notice
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours prior to the agreed collection date. Failure to do so will result in a 100% cancellation fee.Delivery Details
The owner must supply full delivery details to VCSA per its administration requirements. VCSA will not be responsible for any loss or damage due to incorrect delivery details. In the absence of gross negligence, VCSA will not be liable for loss or damage if the owner or his authorized nominee is not present to receive the vehicle.Changes in Information
To avoid additional charges due to delays, re-routing, etc., all changes in customer, vehicle, and address information must be communicated to VCSA at least 72 hours prior to the agreed collection date.Incidental Costs
VCSA will not be liable for any incidental costs incurred by the customer due to late collection and/or delivery dates and times.Fuel Levels
Fuel levels should preferably be kept to a minimum to save weight.Runner Vehicles
Vehicles classified as “Runner” must be able to start and drive without external assistance.Non-Runner Vehicles
- A “Non-Runner” vehicle may include accident damage but must be able to roll on its own wheels. A vehicle with a flat battery is also a “non-runner”.
- Additional costs apply for non-runner vehicles. VCSA must be informed prior to collection; otherwise, the vehicle will not be loaded, resulting in further costs.
- Non-runner vehicles with an automatic gearbox or flat battery must be provided and left in NEUTRAL for the relocation duration.
- Non-runner vehicles with flat tires will not be loaded. The owner must ensure the vehicle has fully inflated tires.
- The customer must present the non-running vehicle to the carrier. VCSA’s drivers and staff cannot fetch non-running vehicles from basements, car parks, etc., and push them to the carrier.
