This 1969 "Lowlight" Deluxe is a highly coveted early Bay Window model, offering the perfect blend of vintage styling and a comprehensive modern restoration. Owned for the last ten years and located in Edenvale, this bus has been meticulously rebuilt from the ground up with only 400 km covered since the project was completed. It is fully registered with all paperwork up to date.

The bus is powered by a freshly built 1600 Twinport engine paired with a completely rebuilt gearbox, a new clutch, and a new clutch cable. The mechanical restoration extends to the entire running gear, including all-new steering and suspension components, serviced brakes with new boosters, and a new GT-style 4-in-1 performance exhaust. For a more aggressive stance, the bus has been lowered using adjusters and sits on 14-inch wheels. Detailed invoices for all mechanical work are available.

The body underwent extensive professional metalwork, specifically focusing on the front pillars, the area around the windscreen, and the front floors to ensure a rust-free foundation. The paintwork is five years old but presents exceptionally well, as the vehicle has been strictly garaged throughout its ownership. The exterior is finished with high-end, imported Deluxe trim from the UK and a customized Sterling roof rack specifically fitted to this bus.

Inside, the cabin has been fully refreshed with new carpeting, a complete interior overhaul, and all-new window rubbers. While the bus runs and drives perfectly, there are a few minor items for the next owner to address, including a sliding door mechanism that needs attention (though it still functions) and the fuel and speed gauges which are currently non-functional.
