At a young age, our founder discovered a passion for cars. With the support of family, they began their journey by purchasing and driving a Mini. This sparked the beginning of a lifelong connection to automobiles.
After selling the Mini, our founder ventured into the world of buying and selling cars, acquiring a vehicle named Tok Tokkie. This marked the start of a business mindset and a deeper engagement with the automotive industry.
In 2011, Our founder began selling Ford trucks on behalf of others, capitalizing on the growing demand for these vehicles. This period saw a significant focus on Ford sales, with a surge in popularity for the brand.
Gradually shifting from selling on behalf of others to direct buying and selling, our founder founded Wat Swaai Jy. This marked a pivotal moment in the journey towards independence and entrepreneurial success.
Over time, the business diversified, expanding beyond Ford to encompass a wide variety of vehicles. The company evolved into Vintage Cars South Africa (VCSA) as the brand embraced growth and adaptability in the automotive market.
The purchase of Summerbrooke Estate, now VCSA's home, signified a new chapter in the company's journey. With plans for further expansion and evolution, the vision for Wat Swaai Jy and VCSA remains steadfast, fueled by passion and dedication to the vintage car industry.
