This beautiful example is like new, having clocked only 10100 miles from new, it is truly a time capsule and has to be seen to be experienced.
This car was in a prominent Gauteng collection and then moved on to a collector in the Cape. She is now ready for a good, new home.
The bodywork and paint on this car is perfect, very large panels and a very big car, but nothing was compromised, and she is perfect in gold!
As for the interior, words and pictures will not do it justice. This must be seen to be appreciated. One can quickly see that this car was extremely well cared for since 1969. The seats are perfect, carpets are perfect, door cards are perfect, dash is perfect, hood lining is perfect. Everything is perfect. And all this for an original 1969 car.
Mechanically there is nothing to fault. She starts on the turn every single time, even if parked off for months. The 429Ci big block V8 and automatic transmission is impeccable. The aircon, powersteering and electric windows, hide away lights and all of the luxury upgrades for 1969 feautures on this example.
This time capsule in original format from front to back and having been maintained all its life is most likely the best example of a Mercury Marquis Brougham Coupè not just in SA, but the world. The Mercury brand was built by Ford and this is a Ford in its bones. The drivetrain is straight from Ford and the Ford logo is accentuated all over the car, even if sold as a Mercury.
Fit for any avid collector or enthusiast looking to add a clean and special car to their fleet.

Not so sure about the coffee shop, got charged an eye watering R70 for a double shot Cuppa. By far the most expensive coffee I ever had anywhere in SA! 😩 Cars were nice though!Tariq Moosa2024-04-23Amazing selection of cars. World-class setup.
